I find jumping is easiest to teach when you start with something solid for them to jump over, rather than a jump rail that they can knock over. It is always easiest to get a llama to do something if you do it first, so when teaching always go over the jump yourself and have them follow. Make sure you are actually jumping and not just stepping over because your llama will likely copy whatever you do. Once they have jumped over a few times and understand what you are asking you can add a command like "jump" or "over". As always make sure that if you ask for them to jump they actually do it, if they ever get away with not going over it will likely be extremely difficult to get them to jump in the future.
