Step up is a fairly easy trick to teach once you have a good relationship with your llama. An easy way to start is to get a piece of plywood and get your llama used to walking over that, making sure to reward while your llama's feet are on the board. Then you can move on to something raised. Start by putting one of your feet on the block and asking your llama to "step up". You can help guide them with the halter, making sure to use your clicker as soon as they put a foot up. Once they have mastered their feet individually you can start asking for both front feet, and eventually all of their feet. This trick is great because it is a start to a lot of other tricks including going over bridges, stepping in buckets, and foot touching with you.
