Llama Training Fun

Using treats while training llamas is a very debated topic, but one that I believe strongly in. Although llamas can find training enjoyable, you are really asking them to work for you. Even if you really enjoy your job, would you do it for no pay? I don’t believe it is fair to ask llamas to work for us either without any sort of reward. I also find my llamas are a lot more excited and focused when they know that rewards are coming. Especially when I am working with my llamas off-lead I need an extremely high level of focus and willingness to work, and treats accomplish that for me. If you find another way of training your llama that works for you that is awesome, but treat training is what I find to be most effective with my llamas.
